Perkins Olson’s litigation practice in the Elder Law and Estate arena is extremely active, as individuals and families increasingly have conflicts over terms of trusts and wills. With increasing frequency, we are seeing cases where opportunistic family members have manipulated wealthy, elderly family members.

Some examples of our recent work
  • A dispute between siblings regarding control in an improperly organized family limited liability company after the matriarch’s death.
  • An elderly gentleman who left the bulk of his estate to a home care provider as a result of undue influence.
  • A stepmother who improperly influenced a mentally incapacitated father to disinherit his natural children.
