Restructuring a Maine Apple Producer - When Cooper Brothers, LLC, K.W. Cooper & Sons and Cooper Packing, Inc. needed help restructuring their businesses, they hired Richard Olson as their counsel. Richard helped them develop a plan for the sale of their business through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Richard helped them obtain Debtor-In-Possession Financing (DIP Financing) so they could continue operations and he helped them negotiate a series of sales transactions, involving a dozen secured creditors and multiple parcels located in several towns and two counties.

As a result of Richards's efforts, the ''core'' apple business will continue to operate under a new owner, who has retained the employees, and creditors are likely to receive significant dividends.
